DEALER VAULT · OBSERVE. RESEARCH. UNLOCK.

The Puzzle Solver: earn the answer. Unlock the challenge.

The Puzzle Solver is where Kyle Holdridge’s downline customers can discover complicated digital puzzles built around AMSOIL, automotive lubrication and mechanical reasoning. Explore an unusual machine, follow the evidence and work toward the solution. Selected challenges will offer AMSOIL prizes, with the prize and participation details announced for each individual puzzle.

Meet the Viscosity Vault

A sealed brass face. Twin gauges. Colored witnesses. Valves, a regulator and a handwheel that looks as though it has been waiting years for the right visitor. The Viscosity Vault brings a steampunk workbench to the screen and asks you to do more than find an obvious button.

The Brassworks Edition introduces the Keeper’s challenge: recover evidence and reconstruct the machine’s logic. Its interface brings together research prompts and mechanical controls. The challenge preview includes a viscosity archive, product-code evidence and a regulator with marked dial positions. Each detail may matter, but appearances alone will not tell you how the whole mechanism fits together.

Begin by reading the instructions inside the challenge. Take your time with the evidence before turning controls. The goal is the satisfaction of understanding why a solution works—not simply stumbling onto a combination. This introduction intentionally leaves the answers inside the puzzle.

Three kinds of thinking. One locked machine.

Observation: Look at labels, positions, colors and relationships. Separate a clue you can verify from an assumption that only feels plausible.

Research: Follow the technical references named by the puzzle. Locate the correct product, table and units before calculating. A convincing-looking number from the wrong row is still the wrong evidence.

Mechanical reasoning: Think through motion, sequence and cause and effect. A gear relationship or a prescribed order can turn an apparently decorative mechanism into a precise problem.

How to approach a challenge

  1. Read the brief first. Identify the objective, the evidence you need and how the challenge accepts a submission. Check the participation details before starting a prize challenge.
  2. Explore deliberately. Inspect the available views and learn what the controls do. Change one setting at a time so you can connect each action with its result.
  3. Keep an evidence notebook. Record source titles, page numbers, units and calculations. Keep the unrounded value until the instruction tells you how to round it.
  4. Test a reasoned solution. Work through the sequence described by the clues. If the mechanism rejects your answer, revisit the reasoning rather than repeating the same guess.
  5. Use the challenge’s submission method. Follow the instructions shown in the puzzle. Keep any completion message or confirmation you are instructed to retain.

Learn something useful while solving

A lubrication-themed puzzle gives technical information a purpose. Instead of skimming a product bulletin, you may need to compare two values, distinguish a product code from a viscosity grade or recognize that different tests describe different properties. Careful reading becomes part of the experience.

The Viscosity Vault preview makes an important distinction: a ratio calculated from kinematic viscosity at two temperatures is not the same thing as viscosity index or a cold-cranking test. Reading the right column, retaining its units and following the requested calculation are separate steps. That habit of checking exactly what a number represents is useful far beyond a puzzle.

The machine itself is fictional. Its valves, dial divisions and unlocking sequence are puzzle settings, not instructions for operating an engine or choosing a lubricant. For actual maintenance, match the equipment manufacturer’s requirements with current product guidance.

AMSOIL prizes: read the challenge details

Kyle is developing these challenges for his downline customer community, with AMSOIL prizes planned for selected puzzles. The available prize, eligible participants, entry period, completion requirements and claim process belong to the individual challenge—not to a permanent promise on this introduction page.

Before entering, read the challenge’s prize and claim details. Confirm whether a reward is limited to one winner or available to multiple qualifying solvers, how completion is verified and what you must do after solving. Opening a puzzle or submitting an answer does not by itself establish eligibility for a prize.

This is Kyle Holdridge’s independent dealer project. An AMSOIL theme or product prize does not mean the challenge is operated or endorsed by AMSOIL INC. Specific challenge announcements will explain the participation terms before you enter.

Questions from the workbench

Is this an answer generator?

No. The Puzzle Solver introduces Kyle’s challenges and helps you find the next one. It does not reveal the lock combinations or provide an automatic solution.

Do I play on this WordPress page?

The featured Viscosity Vault opens on its existing hosted challenge page in a new tab. This WordPress page is the introduction and starting point; the screenshot is not an interactive copy of the game.

Can I use a phone?

You can open the challenge link from a phone. The vault has detailed controls and research material, so a larger screen may be more comfortable. Follow the controls and viewing instructions provided by the puzzle.

Will every puzzle use the same machine?

Kyle plans to develop additional complicated digital puzzles. Each challenge can introduce different evidence, mechanisms and ways to solve it. The featured vault is the starting point, not a promise that every future puzzle will look or behave the same.

Should I share the solution?

Keep the discovery enjoyable for other participants. Use the challenge’s stated submission process and read any instructions about sharing answers, teamwork or hints.

Your next clue is waiting.

Open the vault, read the Keeper’s brief and start building a case for your solution. Bring patience, a calculator and the willingness to check your assumptions. The most satisfying moment comes when the machine’s behavior finally makes sense.
